Hello everyone. I would like to tell you about a special day in our jumbo taxi (wagon taxi) 'Grand Ace'. Early in the morning, we headed to a customer in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, where my door service invited the customer into the luxurious Gran Ace. After passing through the busy streets of central Tokyo and then onto the motorway, we arrived in Urawa Ward, Saitama City, in about an hour. Even in this short time, the spaciousness and comfortable seating of the Jumbo Taxi (wagon taxi) ensured that our customers could relax.
Waiting - breathing space in Urawa parks
I had to wait in a nearby park while a customer was visiting a business partner. It was a very peaceful place and the huge green trees made me feel at home. I was able to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the natural surroundings. I took photos of some of the most impressive trees and later found pleasure in sharing them with my clients and colleagues.
Lunch - the nostalgic taste of the Jouban Restaurant
A customer asked me if I would like to have lunch with him. and we went to Jouban Shokudo in Urawa Ward. In the old-fashioned atmosphere of the restaurant, the customer wanted omelette rice, so I ordered the same thing. I took a bite and felt a nostalgic taste. A heart-warming taste spread through me, just like the ones I used to eat when I was a child. I was going to take a photo of it, but realised after I finished it that it was so good, and regretted it a little.
Encounters with beautiful art
After lunch, I happened to meet Mr Matsuzaki, who lives in Urawa Ward and works as a painter. We learnt that Mr Matsuzaki had created the beautiful paintings displayed at Jouban Shokudo. I took a commemorative photograph of the painting, which further strengthened my memories of the day.
Safe return home and thanks
After the customer's appointment, we once again spent the journey to Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, with our jumbo taxi (wagon taxi) 'Grand Ace'. There were no accidents on the day and our work was completed without incident. I returned home, thankful to our customers and the people we met.
