On 21 November 2024, the 34th Saitama Prefecture Citizens' Convention for the Elimination of Violence and Prevention of Drug Abuse was grandly held in the main hall of Saitama Kaikan in Urawa Ward, Saitama City. Around 700 people attended the convention and shared a passionate desire to realise a safe and secure society.

The conference proceeded in three parts and provided an opportunity for the whole county to confirm the importance of eliminating gangs and preventing drug abuse.
Part I: Awards ceremony and conference declaration
The conference began with an address from the organisers, followed by the presentation of awards to individuals and organisations for their efforts in violence expulsion activities.
At the awards ceremony, two persons and three organisations from the Liaison Council of Centres for the Promotion of Violence Expulsion in the Kanto Region and 11 persons and nine organisations from the Saitama Centre for Violence Expulsion and Drug Abuse Prevention Foundation received awards. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to those who had made particularly outstanding achievements.
This was followed by the practice of the "Three No Gangs Movement Plus One" (don't fear gangs, don't pay them, don't use them, don't associate with them) and the "No drug abuse. No drug abuse." The declaration was adopted under the slogan "No to drug abuse". All participants renewed their commitment to a safe Saitama.
Part II: Special lectures
In the second part, a special lecture was given by the Executive Director of the Fukuoka Violence Prevention Centre.
In his lecture, he explained the dangers, the practicalities of elimination operations and the success factors of summit operations, with specific examples. The participants were deeply impressed by the lecturer's enthusiastic talk.
Part III: Performance by the Music Corps
The competition concluded with a spectacular drill performance by the Saitama Prefectural Police Band and Colour Guard. The audience was enveloped by the powerful performance, and all participants felt a sense of unity.
